I raise my flock of Angora goats in Abaurrea Alta at Gartzelai.

Abaurrea Alta is a village located on the eastern edge of the Aezkoa valley. There, on the NA-140, at kilometer 21, you will find my fold and flock.

How to take care of mohair

  • Mohair wash:

It’s best if you wash your mohair clothes by hand with low temperature water (not more than 30ºC!) and few quantity of a mild laundry detergent. We love any organic laundry detergent that has little scent.

If you don't have time and prefer washing your mohair sweater in the washing machine, you should know that there are a few simple rules. When you put it into the washing machine, make sure that you use a mild laundry detergent. Set a low temperature (no more than 30\C) and low speed and wash the garment in a mesh bag.

To dry your mohair linger, it’s best to lay it flat to avoid stretching.

  • Storage

It turns out that moths love mohair, so don't forget to put the right products (e.g., small sachets filled with lavender) in the closet with your mohair sweaters. Also, it makes sense to air out your closet from time to time.
