Vision
Bilobila contributes towards the relocalization of the textile sector through a small-scale and respectful livestock, for both people and animals.
The textile industry is the third most polluting industry in the world. But not only that! Often, in addition to animal welfare, basic human rights of those involved are far from guaranteed. Although we may not always be aware when buying, producing natural fibers and transforming them into fabrics, clothes and other accessories is a very costly process. Obtaining Mohair involves many different , from the animals daily care to knitting or crocheting the final wollen goods, including weather conditions, the work of many people, machinery, and transportation. To support and enable more responsible fabric making, consumers can choose to buy less, second-hand, good quality, and local. In addition, Bilobila aims to generate quality employment. We want to work according to values and principles that are important. We are committed to and contribute actively to more ecological, transparent, and humane methods/ways of raising animals and farming. Our project participates in rethinking equal access to land; creating a dignified and quality rural life and strong social fabric. We also hope to contribute to raising awareness about farming and agriculture from childhood onwards and to strengthen peoples connection with the land.
Finally, I would like to thank those who, in one way or another, have collaborated with this project from its inception and continue to collaborate in various ways: My parents, family, and friends as well as the municipality of Abaurrea Alta.
